Dual Track Diplomacy! Two Examples

A widely discussed diplomatic system in current world politics. In Bengal, it is called dual-track diplomacy. Many also call it Track II diplomacy or Backchannel diplomacy. The bottom line is that in this diplomacy, two systems work together. I am trying to explain it easily through the example below.

Dual Track Diplomacy! Two Examples
Dual Track Diplomacy! Two Examples

Example-01:

It refers to the diplomatic system of the state where the state uses two types of diplomacy simultaneously. For example; The United States has been in direct talks with North Korea to end its military operations. This is the fast track. And at the same time, the United States exerts economic pressure on North Korea through any other power such as the United Nations. This is the second truck. So every US diplomacy in North Korea is a dual truck or dual diplomacy.

Example-02:

If the state uses both state factors and non-state factors to maintain diplomatic relations with other countries.

The first medium is direct government to government. In other words, in order to maintain relations, there is an official discussion or dialogue between the governments of the two countries, or a government official is sent to that country as a representative.

The second medium is indirect. The diplomatic activities are maintained between the two countries through various private companies, multinational corporations, or organizations.

There are many more types of diplomacy in the diplomatic world, such as dual-truck diplomacy. For example;

- Ping- pong diplomacy,

- People's Diplomacy,

- Classical Diplomacy,

- Electronic Diplomacy,

- Gun Boat Diplomacy,
