Tech giant Facebook has reached an agreement with the Australian government and open the ban page. Facebook confirmed the information in a statement on Tuesday (February 23).


According to Facebook, the Australian government has agreed to amend the new proposed media law. In the context of which all kinds of news can be seen again in the newsfeed of the Facebook users of Australia. Users can even view news media pages.


"We have reached an agreement with the Australian government," said Yule Easton, Facebook's managing director for Australia. We are satisfied with this. As a result of amending the law, we can invest in public interest journalism. News pages will be returned soon.
