 Previous captain Younis Khan will proceed as the men's batting coach of Pakistan until the Twenty20 World Cup in 2022, the nation's cricket board (PCB) said on Thursday. 

Younis is the main Pakistan batsman in test cricket's 10,000-run club and went with the side on their visit through England this mid year. 

"The PCB will likewise be using Younis Khan's mastery and abilities when he's not on public obligation as he will help nearby batsmen sharpen their aptitudes," PCB Chief Executive Wasim Khan said in an assertion.

The board said the arrangement of Younis will be "until, in any event" the 2022 T20 World Cup, which is planned to be held in Australia in October-November. 

Younis scored 10,099 runs and 34 hundreds out of 118 tests, and furthermore played 265 one-dayers and 25 T20 internationals for Pakistan. 

The 42-year-old said he was satisfied to take up the occupation on a drawn out premise.
