Review:
8th birthday of a famous movie artist. He's very close friends invited him to the party. Everyone is rejoicing, suddenly the man has a heart attack. Everyone was shocked by the incident. There was a journalist there, he thought let's give a story cover about this guy. In doing so, he realized it was not a heart attack, but a pre-planned murder.
For those who regularly watch crime/mystery thrillers, this concept is not very unfamiliar to them. But, the way you see the storytelling in the eight-episode series on Murder In the Hills, it must be new to you, I can say it with such risk. The director's name is Anjan Dutt. There is also a book with this name, I have not read it, looking at the reviews, it seems that the story is not taken from there. Darjeeling as a hill with its stunning natural beauty and great cinematography will take you to that city. My regret of not visiting Darjeeling has increased even more now.
The series begins with a song by Anjan Dutt and the third person.
This third person is one of the main characters in the story, Arjun Chakrabarty, the detective who is determined to reveal the truth. Basically, the journey of revealing the truth will be with him. One episode means one story. Film director Sourav Chakraborty has done well with the journalist. Together they rest of the Sandipta Sen Rajdeep Gupta Anindita Bose Rao have each created their own character brilliantly. I think the appearance of each person raises a question. Everyone present at the party is close to Tony being killed. So who did the murder among so many people? Why? Or someone outside? What is their relationship with the 7-year-old? How many questions will arise, questions will change, this is how the story has progressed.
To say the least, would be a spoiler, so I'm not saying anymore. However, there are clear indications that the Kolkata Mystery Thriller series is slowly gaining ground. When the viewer comes to a conclusion by gently arranging the story and being bound by a boundary of thought, then the whole concept is completely destroyed and a new concept appears! In this way, when the viewer comes to a conclusion again, it will be seen that the incident took a completely new turn! The scene of everyone fighting together in the end, even after fighting like this a couple of times, seemed absolutely real to me. It's like murder and then after so much, it's like a perfect synchronization of human mental condition and trauma. In the meanwhile, many past dark histories are hidden in the city of Darjeeling, Love, Beatre, Sacrifice, some spices have come up in the story.
I finished seeing one sitting from noon yesterday. Didn't feel boring for a while. Now it feels bad why the story ended in one season. It should have been pulled by At list for another season, adding some more character relationships. Anyway, I like it a lot. The Anjan Dutt man is an asset not only to the Kolkata film industry but to the whole of Kolkata.
